This year we are happy to announce that we are hosting another regional practice field! The address is 6447 Dahlem Place, located behind Bakery Square in Pittsburgh’s East End. Like last year, this is a space open to all regional FRC teams not only for robot testing, but also for inter-team collaboration. Girls of Steel provides tools, safety equipment, mentors, and snacks. Donations are always welcome.

If you are interested in using the space, email girlsofsteelrobotics@gmail.com for more information!

We look forward to seeing you at this year’s week zero event!

Hi Girls of Steel Robotics! I’m hoping you can help me out. I’m sure you probably have heard of the Suffield Shakedown Scrimmage hosted every years by Team 176, Aces High . Since we have gone to a district this year, we no longer have access to an official FIRST field. We will be hosting the Scrimmage again this year, but on a wooden practice field that will be build by numerous teams. We do not have electronics to go with it & was wondering how you run your practices. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Hello Marc!

When we do our scrimmages, we use timers, iPad, score sheets out of paper, and people. We usually have six people (Adults and students) scoring the matches. We hope that you have a great season!
