One of the most important priorities of the FIRST program is coopertition—teams collaborating with other teams to make everyone more successful.
As part of the alliance process, teams analyze each others’ robots to identify the best strategic partners. This can be a complicated and confusing process, with lots of factors and data to analyze!
To help make forming alliances easier, the Girls of Steel and CMU Computer Science students are developing an Android scouting application.
We will be testing this app at the Pittsburgh Regional. It will be available for free to all FRC teams through the Android market to make scouting easier. The app can be easily updated each year when the new game is announced.
More information will be available soon!

Is there going to be a download for the app on your website, because I have a Kindle Fire which can run Android apps from the Android Market but doesn’t have the android market.

We found some bugs in pittsburgh that we want to fix, but we plan on releasing the app by the end of March . When it is on the android market we will probably be able to put a link on our website for kindle users and what not.
